Learning English
Nowadays English is supposed to be a very useful tool in our globalized
world, so it’s taught in almost every school and university in our country. In
university, we have some obligatory courses which are made to help us to
improve our English level, but we all know that if we really want to learn and
be good English speakers we need to practice more and do a bigger effort to get
better grammatical and improve our reading and listening skills. In that
context, today I’m going to tell you about some problems and challenges I face
when I’m trying to develop my English.
In first place, I think one of the challenges I face often when I try to
study English is I don’t have anyone to practice. I think I would like to talk
with other classmates in some quiet contexts, and help each other in the
process of learning this language. However, currently I'm not looking for
anyone to practice so I still practicing only by writing or listening some
videos or songs in English.
In second place, I think another challenge is to lose the embarrassment
that I almost always feel when I’m trying to talk in English. I mean It’s very
difficult to face social situations in English and trying to pronounce and
understand everything OK is really stressing. To solve this, I think one very good
solution is to practice with close people, so I can make mistakes without
feeling it’s a reason to shame.
Finally, I think a third challenge I face is the lack of time to get
this seriously. I mean I do other things during the day, so I don’t dedicate much
time to improve my English. Sometimes I think the best way to learn a language
is to get enrolled to some study group or English course, because personally I
don’t have much force of will to practice every day and I think I’ll feel more
motivated if I have a study routine.
In your case, do you think you could learn by yourself or you'd prefer
to enroll to some course?

I am also very embarrassed to speak English in social situations, I am very afraid of being wrong.
ResponderEliminarI hope you lose the shame of speaking in English. We all make mistakes. You write very well by the way. It was nice to read you this semester.
ResponderEliminarSee you :)
Hi, in my case I think I can learn by myself but it's always good to have someone with whom you can practice
ResponderEliminarHahaha, very similar things happen to me, I lack willpower and I am very afraid to make a mistake in public.
ResponderEliminarI love the way you write in English, I think you do it very well. Learning another language requires a lot of dedication and time

ResponderEliminarI also think that practicing with a partner is a good way to learn English. This practice should be encouraged more.
